eBay
I'm always late onto fads, and so this week has been my first experience of eBay. I'm selling two items of unwanted furniture and I must say it's been quite fun watching the bids go up (particularly since the highest bid has just doubled since the last time I looked earlier today). I can see why some people get addicted. For those who missed another craze, here's a classic video to enjoy.

Totally unrelated to eBay - any chance you could change your Blogger settings so that your posts can be read on a feedreader? Makes it much easier for people like me to keep track...
Which settings need to be changed?
A friend just sent me this ebay link (make sure you read the Q & A): http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Unfinished-Project-Paper-Aeroplane_W0QQitemZ270163443165QQihZ017QQcategoryZ32635QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Ali, that's hilarious!
Go to Dashboard, then Settings, then Site Feed, then change the 'Allow Blog Feed' to Full (or short if you prefer). This allows RSS readers to either read or get the gist of each post without coming to the blogsite itself, which is very handy.
I'm pretty sure that Blogger automatically reset people's choices a month or two ago, because I've had to ask several people to do this (where I had previously been reading their postings through RSS, suddenly it stopped). Obviously we still have to visit to post comments!
(As an example, when I got back from holiday I saw you had several O'Donovan posts, but I haven't yet read them precisely because of this. I will do so, of course, whether you change the settings or not!!)
Thanks. Are you sure it's not just a problem with your feed reader? I've been using Bloglines and I still pick up my own posts there. Anyway, I've re-saved my settings. Let me know if it works.
Tadaa! It works. Ta very much.
Normally when people talk about their eBay experience, they post links to them items. I guess I'm also curious which couch you are getting rid of.
Not a couch, but the bathtub that had been sitting on the balcony and a few cast iron chairs. Both now sold.
pretty much switched over to craigslist for stuff I might have used to find on ebay. and amazon marketplace for books. you guys got craigslist in aus?
