All roads lead to...

...the Rome theology and philosophy conference, The Grandeur of Reason. At least, my road leads there this week. Speakers include Agamben, Hauerwas, Milbank and O'Donovan, as well as Myers, Russell and many more - should be a good week! Blogging will resume upon my return.

UPDATE: Conference programme now available to download [102KB], H/T Ben.

I hope it's brilliant. Say hi to OOD for me. Glad to hear all's well.

Erro - it was great. I'll blog more about it when I get back. The conference is now over but I'm staying in Rome with Matheson for a few more days.

Moffitt - no fear. When in Rome and all that. No one ever swims in the Tiber (though many people cross it in both literal and metaphorical senses - I'll have to tell you a hilarious story about that sometime).

Josh, as do I. It was great to meet you too.

Remylow - I'm pretty sure the Nottingham guys taped all the main sessions and are planning on putting them on the web before too long. Check the website.

Oops - that was me on that last comment. Now that my wife has started a blog, I've got to be more careful about who is signed into blogger!

nice one, thanks!

[hmmm, i wonder if Zizek would have understood you blogging as your wife as some sort of 'Lacanian split subjectivity'... ha!]

Was the wild man Zizek there?
