Interestingly this comes from an especially cross (as in confrontational) section of the lecture. Bonhoeffer describes Christ as Gegenlogos (counter rationality) who refuses to be grasped by the human mind. In reference to the efforts of liberals of the late 19th century it is fair enough but not and especially friendly image.
I'm willing to cut Dietrich a little slack over his hyperbole given the context. :-)
Cut him some slack?
He can have my rope too if he wants it :)
