In its own way, the latest Quarterly Essay ('Voting for Jesus') by Amanda Lohrey is an intresting reflection on fundamentalism and evangelicalism, too. Still processing my response to it, but it's interesting to see how other people (ie those who would not identify as evangelicals) understand those terms.
