Dawkins done

Tonight's forum on Dawkins and the new atheism with Dr Greg Clarke went quite well. We had over 50 people in the café (it was bulging!), of whom about half were not from All Souls. Greg made some interesting points (I might post some tomorrow) and there was some lively discussion and excellent food.

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on this one.

I'll try - but I had a Barth reading group today and have a von Balthasar group tomorrow, so if I get to it, it won't be until after I've finished both my readings.
Otherwise, it might have to wait until early next week.

von Balthasar, heyyyyyy.

I am doing vB in my Masters programme. I've never even read him yet. Any good? Got a tip on a good starting point, something for summer reading?

This is the first one I've read - it's a short book (supposedly a summary of his enormous The Glory of the Lord series) called Love Alone is Credible. It's been very accessible (after a dense first couple of chapters overviewing the history of Western theology and thought) and quite stimulating (some parts much more than others). We're about to have our final meeting in a few minutes, so I'm trying to finish the last chapter.
