Food fight
I hate it when blogs become a list of links to favourite videos, but I'm going to indulge myself one more time. Watch this. Stay with it until it starts to make sense, then watch it all again and enjoy the "aha!" moments.
Or if you're still really confused, try the character cheat sheet, or the scene breakdown.

That was hilarious. It took me a while to start to get the gist of what was going on and had to read the cheat sheet. At first I thought it was the wars between various types of fast food.
Wow that is brilliant, I clued in at 9/11.
From the start, I wondered why the hamburgers seemed to usually win. I realised more was going on at the "Cuban missile crisis" and the "arms race", since they didn't involve food blowing up other food. It all then clicked with the towers.
That was fantastic. Although it portrayed the English as being less involved in World War 2 than I remeber learning in history, I seem to recall that they were pretty close to action.
And the matzah was pretty passive.
Yes, although the info page did acknowledge that it was a US-centric piece.
After watching it again I think it is a US-Israeli centric piece, but very interesting/funny nonetheless
Yes, the director admitted that these were his two interests: Before the film was penned, I was imagining a history of ALL conflict. I quickly realized that it would not only take forever to do that, but I had no idea what ancient Egyptians where eating. So I narrowed the scope to American-centric conflict...with a dash of Israeli interest in there, from WWII on. (quote from here)
